MAASS Products' Acousti-Mat - the green solution to sound control

Melbourne based company Maass Products has just released
the latest GREEN sound control underlayments. Nothing travels faster than
impact and airborne noise in buildings constructed without proper sound
control. The Acousti-Mat range provides the superior sound control now
considered a standard amenity for multi family properties - and now with 40%
recycled content, Acousti-Mat II GREEN and Acousti-Mat 3 GREEN is the only
option for your renewable building project.
Timber & Concrete Substrates
Acousti-Mat II GREEN is a breakthrough in sound control technology, it is
the cost effective solution to noise complaints, even with ceramic and wood
floors. Its core of fused entangle filaments, attached to a non woven fabric,
creates a void area between the subfloor and a high strength Maxxon underlayment.
Acousti-Mat II
- Cost effective choice for both new floors and retrofit where floor height is a concern.
- Achieves a Delta IIC of 10 points over timber, and up to 20 points over concrete - a 75% reduction in impact noise.
- Material composition: nylon.
- Thickness: 1/4" (6mm).
- Density: 6.3 pcf (100.8kg/m3).
- Colour: blue with white fabric.
- Minimum screed capping depth (19mm).
- Available with 40% post-industrial recycled content.
Acousti-Mat 3
- Provides maximum sound isolation for open beam, concrete slab, and conventional wood frame construction.
- Increases IIC and STC levels up to 17 points over wood frame, and IIC up to 25 rating (up to 80% reduction) over concrete.
- Material composition: nylon.
- Thickness, nominal: .8" (20.3mm).
- Density: 2.66 pcf (42.6 Kg/m3).
- Color: Acousti-Mat 3: black with white fabric, Acousti-Mat 3 "Green": black with white fabric.
- Optional water resistant fabric.
- Minimum screed capping depth (38mm).
- Available with 40% post-industrial recycled content.
Concrete Substrate - Low Profile
Acousti-Mat CLP (Concrete/Low Profile) is a revolutionary sound control
advancement for high-rise concrete construction, now you can replace floor
goods without replacing the sound mat. It is attached to the concrete subfloor
and then topped with a Maxxon Underlayment, permanently encasing the Acousti-Mat
CLP in the underlayment. So when floor goods are changed, the sound control
system remains intact.
For new or renovated concrete floors, Acousti-Mat CLP is the permanent sound
control solution that features:
- The low profile, permanent sound control solution for concrete substrates.
- Achieves a Delta IIC of 19 - a 75% reduction in impact noise on concrete floor systems.
- Fast, easy installation.
- Floor levelling for ease of floor goods installation.
- Optional concrete topping/wear surface.
- Sound control that stays locked in place when floor goods are removed.
- Material composition: blend of polymeric fibres.
- Thickness: < 1/16" (1.5mm).
- Basis Weight: 175g/m².
- Colour: dark grey.
- Mullen Burst: > 200 psi.
- Air Permeability: 150 cam.
- MD Tensile: 30lb/in.
- CD Tensile: 30lb/in.
- Minimum screed capping depth (9.7mm).
Maass Products provides a range of environmentally sustainable floor levelling,
acoustic and thermal underlay solutions to the commercial and residential markets.
